Most plants have cameras on every line and nobody watching them. The footage is only useful after something has already gone wrong. Lumetras Vision sits on top of the cameras you already own, watches for the conditions you care about, and tells the right person the moment one of them happens.
Twenty seconds, no sound. A supervisor writes one rule in plain language, the agent goes live on the camera, and a glove violation is caught, identified and reported before the shift moves on.

Since the clip is silent, here is the sequence.
Someone writes a rule. No dropdowns, no model configuration. A supervisor types what they want: notify the plant safety manager on WhatsApp when workers are not wearing safety gloves, identify the person, and log the employee ID.
The agent goes live on the camera. One click. The rule is now running against the CAM-04 feed at twelve frames per second.
Everyone in frame gets tracked. Five people, each with a tracking ID and a running check on hard hat, vest and gloves. Four of them pass.
One person does not. The gloves check fails on track P-107. The box turns red and the event is written to the log with a timestamp and a confidence score.
The camera zooms in and confirms who it is. The view digitally zooms to the worker, boxes the bare hands, and matches the identity against the employee record. R. Mendoza, EMP-4417, Assembly B, Shift A.
The alert goes out. A WhatsApp message reaches the plant safety manager with the camera, the time, the worker, the employee ID, the issue and the confidence. Eighteen seconds from violation to delivered.
How it works
Four steps, and none of them involve new hardware
Connect the cameras you have. Lumetras Vision reads standard IP camera streams over RTSP and ONVIF. If your cameras are already recording to an NVR, they are already compatible. Nothing gets mounted, nothing gets rewired.
Describe what you want watched. Write it the way you would say it to a supervisor. "Tell me when someone enters the press area without a hard hat." "Flag any pallet left in the fire lane for more than ten minutes." "Log every time line three stops for longer than two minutes." The system turns that sentence into a running rule.
The agent watches continuously. It runs against the live feed, tracks people and equipment across frames, and applies your rule to every second of footage. It does not get tired at the end of a shift and it does not look away.
You get told, and it gets recorded. Every detection creates a timestamped record with the camera, the clip, the confidence score and the identity where you have chosen to enable identification. The alert lands wherever your team already works.
What it can watch for
What people use it for
Personal protective equipment. Hard hats, high visibility vests, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection, checked per person and per zone rather than as a blanket rule.
Restricted and hazardous zones. Entry into a press area, a chemical store, an energised panel or a marked exclusion zone, with rules that can differ by role and by shift.
Forklift and pedestrian conflict. Vehicles moving too close to people, wrong way travel in a one way aisle, and speed in areas where it matters.
Blocked exits and fire lanes. Anything left in a marked lane or in front of a door, with a timer so a pallet in transit does not trigger a false alarm.
Line stoppage and idle time. How long a station sat empty, how long a conveyor sat still, and when it started, without anybody having to log it by hand.
Spills, leaks and housekeeping. Standing liquid on the floor, overflowing scrap bins, and material stacked above a safe height.
Access and tailgating. People following someone else through a controlled door, and presence in an area outside scheduled hours.
If the thing you want watched is not on this list, it is usually still possible. The rules are written in language, not in code, so the list is not fixed.

For supervisors and floor leads who are not sitting at a desk. This is the one most plants start with.

Into a channel your EHS or operations group already uses, so the thread stays with the rest of the conversation.

For daily and weekly summaries, and for anything that needs to reach someone outside the plant.
Webhook.
Straight into your MES, CMMS, ERP or ticketing system, so a detection can open a work order or a corrective action without anyone retyping it.
The log.
Everything is recorded whether or not it triggers a message. That record is what turns a month of alerts into an audit trail, a trend line and evidence for a customer or a regulator.

It works with the cameras you have
There is no Lumetras camera to buy. If a stream is reachable over RTSP or ONVIF, Lumetras Vision can read it, and that covers effectively every fixed IP camera installed in the last decade. Existing recording keeps working exactly as it does today.
The processing can run on a small server inside your plant or in our cloud. On site is the usual choice where video is not permitted to leave the building or where the network link is thin. In both cases the model is the same and the rules behave the same way.
Adding a camera is a matter of pointing at the stream and choosing which rules apply to it. Adding a rule takes a sentence.
Privacy
How we handle people in the footage
Watching a workplace is a serious thing to do, and doing it badly damages trust faster than any safety statistic improves it. A few commitments.
Identification is optional and it is off until you turn it on. Many customers run for months on anonymous tracking IDs, because knowing that gloves were missing at station four at 14:32 is enough to fix the problem. Identification is worth switching on when your process genuinely needs the individual record, and that is a decision for you and your works council or union, not for us.
Rules are scoped. A camera can be watched for forklift proximity without being watched for anything else. Break areas, changing areas and any zone you exclude are simply not processed.
Retention is yours to set. Clips can be deleted on a schedule you choose. The log entry can outlive the video.
Access is logged. Every time somebody views a detection clip, that view is recorded, which matters when the footage is used in a disciplinary process.
We will help you write the notice that goes to your workforce. Telling people clearly what is being watched and why is the part that determines whether this lands well, and it is the part most vendors leave to you.
